Lambombard writes: I have installed and used this wonderful rain barrel for about 3 weeks now. Everything works as indicated in the description. I was looking for a water saving device that would "blend" in with my landscape and you would have to be 3 feet away before you knew if this was plastic - if you were looking! I am very pleased and would highly recommend this product. My plants love it - and so do I!! This is a nice addition to the garden. It's attractive and functional. I hooked a soaker hose up to it and my garden is thriving! I even went away for 10 days on vacation and came back and it was like I had a gardener. remove Rainwater Downspout Filter, lift, slide across, then lower at an
angle. B. Tip out leaves and litter.C. Use a hose to clean stainless steel filter. D. While cleaning roof and gutters, place Rainwater Downspout Filter at 45-degree angle to block downspout, to divert dirty water, and keep out bugs and debris. E. Reassemble and replace. |

| IMPORTANT: Before you use a plastic or metal drum as a rain barrel MAKE SURE you know what chemicals were stored in the drum. Many plastic and metal drums have labels warning not to reuse them . These labels can fall off or are removed. Make sure you know what the drums originally contained. | |

DON'T
BUY RAIN BARRELS WITH THE
FAUCET IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BARREL
If
you are considering buying from another source or making your own rain
barrel, make sure the faucet is near the bottom and not in the middle
of the barrel. This will give you more water to use, give you a little
more pressure and insure your water does not stagnate. We place the
faucet just above the second hoop from the bottom. For those of you who
are going to set your barrel on blocks or a stand we can place the
faucet lower on the barrel, between the first and second hoop. This
will give you even more usable rain water. |
