The many years spent aging in new barrels is one of the reasons Kentucky Bourbon is the best whiskey in the world today. After the golden liquid is removed, the barrels are exported where they are REUSED to make Scotch and Irish whiskey, rum, and tequila. and 6 hand forged iron hooks. The staves are
34 inches long, 1 inch thick, and various widths. Some staves
have a poplar wood barrel bung in the middle which can be removed, (can
be ordered
with or without bung hole, shipped random unless specified). The staves
are lightly
sanded to keep the vintage rustic look, you can see the marks where the
metal barrel hoops hugged the staves
holding
the barrel together. The arrow head hooks are hand forged by the black
smith at Old Fort Harrod State Park in Harrodsburg Kentucky.The hook rack you receive may not look like the ones pictures. |
